A3CERT is proud to present a cost and efficient solution for customers that export steel and aluminum structures to the UK Market, Britain and Northern Ireland.
This is made possible by a partnership agreement between the companies A3CERT and TWI Certification Ltd (TWI CL). The agreement was signed Dec 15, 2020 and it enables A3CERT customers with EN 1090 approval to receive a quick, easy and cost effective route to continue to export products to UK.

We already have EN 1090 approval for the European Market, why cannot we continue as before and deliver our products also to UK?
As BREXIT comes into effect, EU and UK are protecting their own markets.
From the 1st January 2021 – 31st December 2021 European Markets can continue to export into the UK using their EU Factory Production Control certificate for CE marking of products. However, after this point it may be necessary to have a UKCA mark to export into the UK. As a result , the approval to deliver to UK may need to be granted by an Approved Body (UK version of a Notified Body) and in order to deliver to the EU, a Notified Body in the EU will be essential.
How does the cooperation work?
A3CERT and TWI CL acknowledge each other’s competence and knowledge in this area. A3CERT continue with periodic assessments of you as a company, that you continue to fulfil the requirements of EN 1090-1. The UKCA approval will be issued by TWI CL, once they have reviewed and approved the assessment reports made by A3CERT. Formally you will have a contract in place with TWI CL, to be able to issue the certificate and also an agreement with us that you agree that A3CERT may share your data (like assessment reports for your company) with TWI CL.
Why is this solution good?
Your current approval for EN 1090-1 may not allow you to export to UK after Devc 2021, and therefore you would need a separate approval and assessment for that. This would lead to at least double costs and effort for you.
How much does it cost?
TTWI CL and A3CERT have agreed that we want to offer this as a service to you at a very competitive level to cover the basic cost for the service.
For customers that want to use this service, it will be priced at a yearly fee for 2021, the price will be £350, and charged to you by TWI CL
